Friday Night Quotes, Feb 3, Responsibility

by Larry Oxenham, Publisher

RESPONSIBILITY is a great topic for our Friday Night Quotes because RESPONSIBILITY is a foreign word to many in America. A few days ago we watched Cal Berkeley students and professional rioters light fires, break windows and cause other mayhem to the University and then listened to the Lt. Gov. of the state blame the speaker … whose even was cancelled. We will do another Quote Night on Free Speech, an alien, evil topic to California Universities, but for now, we think RESPONSIBILITY is a worthy topic:

You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today. Abraham Lincoln
We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by the responsibility for our future. George Bernard Shaw
The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up. John C. Maxwell
The price of greatness is responsibility. Winston Churchill
Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future. John F. Kennedy (Talk about a lost concept!)
The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. Denis Waitley
I recommend that the Statue of Liberty be supplemented by a Statue of Responsibility on the west coast. Viktor E. Frankl
Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility.”Sigmund Freud
To say you have no choice is to relieve yourself of responsibility. Patrick Ness
Eventually we all have to accept full and total responsibility for our actions, everything we have done, and have not done. Hubert Selby, Jr.
