by Larry Oxenham, Publisher

That makes EDUCATION a great topic for our Friday Night Quotes:

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” Augustine of Hippo
“Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.” Margaret Mead
“If you want to get laid, go to college. If you want an education, go to the library.” Frank Zappa
“The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts.” C.S. Lewis
“Spoon feeding in the long run teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.” E.M. Forster
“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” W.B. Yeats
“Without education, we are in a horrible and deadly danger of taking educated people seriously.” G.K. Chesterton
Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is.” Isaac Asimov
In real life, I assure you, there is no such thing as algebra. ” Fran Lebowicz
